Side by Side Double Station Machine

ZMD offers 2 styles of the Double Station Machine:

1. The traditional style, Front to Back, is recommended to consider when the forming area is big (4'x7' and up), and has big strokes (36" and up). This type of machine will be based on the HT-400 series.

2. The unique solution was created and is manufactured by ZMD only, the Side by Side style. It is recommended to consider this style when the forming is not bigger than 4'x6'. This type machine is based on the HD-300 series.

The features and specifications of the Side by Side double station machine are the same as described in more details on our HD-300 series machines.

ZMD double station machines will provide the flexibility, versatility and quantities you may need for your operation, at half the price of labor and energy. It is proven that our Side by Side double station machine is faster than any standard Rotary machine consisting of 3 stations.

In general, ZMD double station machine is a unique machine in concept and appearance. The 2 stations will be mounted Side by Side with common top and bottom heaters, traveling between the 2 stations. While the forming is being held in one station, another plastic sheet is processing the heating cycle. The machine will provide the output of 2 machines with the cost of single machine in terms of labor (one operator is required) and energy.

The Side by Side machine is much more sophisticated than the traditional standard double station machine, Front to Back style. The new machine has to move not only the 2 clamping frames like before, but the top and bottom heaters will be driven with AC frequency drive motor and be equipped with all additional 4 linear shafts, linear bearings to ride on hardened ways to ensure accuracy of alignment, plus effortless movement, and long lasting life.

The only difference between the single and double, except of course the number of stations, the single station does have a stationary heater and the frame moves with the material in and out, while the double station has 2 frames that travel into the heaters in additional to heaters compartment that travels from one station to the other. Therefore, the specifications of single and double station machines are the same.

Each station is independently controlled, however, the Master station can override the slave station.
