Whether you call it thermoforming or vacuum forming, ZMD International has been producing quality machines since 1981. Our sales are increasing each year, our product lines are constantly expanding, and our technical innovations are second to none.
ZMD International is offering 20 lines of machinery. Each line offers between 2 to 20 model thus the range of models we are offering exceed 200 models. We are offering vacuum forming equipment in these categories:
- The top of the line ZMD vacuum forming machines, the HT-400 series, range from 4'x7'
and up to 14'x28'. We have a full line of standard machines,
as well as custom machines. Any size, any configuration
the customer can define, ZMD can manufacture.
- The best selling machines world wide, the State of the
Art, HD-300 series, range from
3'X3' and up to 4'x6'.
- Double station machine, Side
by Side thermoforming machine: This is an excellent
machine that provides the output of 2 machines with
the labor and energy cost of one machine. This machine
is faster than a 3 station Rotary machine while being
very less expensive. The main advantage of this machine
is the capability to use a different mold in each station,
thus, there is no delay in the manufacturing of an item
that is made of 2 parts like a suitcase. This type of
machine is available up to the size of 48" x 72" forming
area. It is based on the HD-300
series machines.
- Double
station machine, Front to Back thermoforming machine:
This type
of machine is available up to 10'x16' forming area. It is based on the
HT-400 series machines. This type of machine, in general, is a big machine for making very large or very deep parts. Like the Side by Side type machine, this machine provides the output of 2 machine with the energy of one machine. Labor wise, in most cases 2 operators are required to operate this machine successfully. As an option, this type of machine is available with 2 fully automatic load and unload systems, thus the machine can run without an operator at all, in automatic mode.
- Composite Materials Machine: this is a unique machine
that has been developed for a major aerospace company
for the forming of composite materials. This machine
combines thermoforming technology with High Temperature
Convection Heaters and other unique forming techniques
and systems. There is no way to form these composite
materials with traditional thermoforming systems and
techniques.
- Pressure
Forming Machine with the capability to provide up
to 100 tons between the platens. Any custom size is
available upon request.
- High
Tonnage Press: ZMD developed this press for injection
of high Pressure Expandable Polyurethane Foam. This
foam in injected between 2 molds that hold a formed
part. The foam, after curing provides a rigid structure.
As the foam cures, it creates pressures of up to 25
pound per inch. The press can resist variable forces
up to 300,000 lb.
- V-200 series: heavy duty small machine, up to 24"x36"
forming area, with pneumatic frame and most features
of HD-300 series machines.
- The Tower machine, the new concept
of vacuum forming machine with large forming area with
an half foot print and half the price of similar size
standard ZMD vacuum forming machine. Excellent machine
for the sign industry or for the SPA industry.
- Graphic
Machine for the In Mold Decoration Application (IMD):
ZMD developed a dedicated machine for the Graphic Industry
(In Mold Decorating Applications). This machine provides
not only accuracy forming of pre printed plastic sheets,
but registration and repeatable cycle of pre printed
graphics. The machine is equipped with many unique systems
that make it the most sophisticated on the market today.
In a matter of fact, ZMD is the only company that has
a comprehensive answer to the high demand of this fine
industry.
- PSI
3D Laminator, Model 859 DS (Double Shuttle), This
state of the art machine is manufactured specifically
for the woodworking industry. The press laminates decorative
overlays to MDF for the Kitchen Cabinet, Store Fixture,
Sign, RTA Furniture, Automotive, Aerospace and Component
Industries. It answers industries need for continuous
production and repeatable results. The PC Front End
fully automates all systems such as: twin 4'x8' Shuttle
Tables, Heat Zone Control, Cooling Cycle providing extremely
high output with very little waste.
- CSD-1022
model, Fast Inline: this is a new Pressure Forming,
Chain Servo Driven machine that enables 5-7 cycles per
minute. This thermoforming machine has preheating oven
station, and an another oven station for the final heating
cycle. Both heaters station has top and bottom heaters
platen, 16 heat zones bank, independent microprocessor
controlled. The top and bottom platens have 8" stroke
capability. Machine can be supplied with either Pneumatic
Slicing Table or with Trim On Line Press as an optional
system. Machine is fully automatic and uses totally
computerized controls
- KIS-722
model: an Automatic Roll Fed In Line Vacuum Forming
Machine with 24" plug assist capability, enables vacuum
forming of thin material as well as blisters of heavy
gauge. This machine is suitable for small runs in automatic
In Line mode.
- VJR
series: a shuttle top heater machine, for packaging
applications, skin packaging as well as blister forming
of thin and heavy gauge. We believe the VJR machine is a vacuum forming machine, one of its kind.
There is no machine in the market that offers so much

and powerful Vacuum forming Machine in the same unit,
to process easily up to 1/8" thick? VJR is your machine.
- Roller
Press Die Cutter: a heavy duty Roller
Press Die Cutter for trimming plastics as well as
many other products, from foam to leather and carpets,
simply the best in the industry. The main features of
this unique machine: solid rollers, 4 heavy duty 1.5"
post and microprocessor controls.
- Plastic
welding system: for welding most of existing thermo
plastics by fusion technology. It is a microprocessor
controlled machines, at the size of equivalent vacuum
forming size that weld automatically, in a matter of
less than 2 minutes, any size to be specified.
- Turn
Key Operation system: for making sanitary ware products
such as SPA, Bathtubs, Whirlpool systems, Shower tray,
Shower enclosure and related products. ZMD provides
everything needed, from A-Z on Turn Key Operation basis.
So far we supplied 13 plants making sanitary ware products
world wide.
- Turn
Key Operation system: for making Plastic Pallets. ZMD
provides a double station machine, with suitable molds
and related equipment on Turn Key basis, to make up
to 65,000 pallets a years in 2 shifts. So far we supplied
9 full systems world wide.
- Turn
Key Project: if you are capable to define your needs,
ZMD is capable to provide the solution: sophisticated,
elegant and economic.
- Temperature
Controlled Aluminum Molds: Mold for making high quality
part, should be temperature controlled and polished,
other wise the parts will have chilled marks. ZMD can
provide the best molds in the industry, at a competitive
price. All our molds are cast aluminum, temperature
controlled, polished and packed in an individual vacuum
box, ready to form high quality parts.
- Temperature
Controller: In order to be able to use temperature controlled
mold you should have a temperature controller that keeps
constant temperature over the mold, under all conditions.
Our Temperature Controller in general is a liquid circulating
temperature control unit. The temperature of the liquid
circulating through the process is continually being
monitored via two independent, fast responsive, linear
sensors which relay any deviation from set-point back
to the digital controller. The fast response of the
sensors, coupled with the digital controller and excellent
pumping capacity, assures uniform and precise temperature
control over the mold.
- Ceramic Infrared Heaters: ZMD manufactures its own High Efficiency Ceramic Heaters, the best in the industry. ZMD heaters are energy efficient ceramic infrared radiant heat panels. Radiant heat is the most popular method of heating. Infrared energy radiated from a temperature source of 500°F to 1000°F in 3.0 to 4.0 micron wavelength range, the best for the plastic sheet to absorb energy. All ZMD machines are equipped with ZMD heaters. However, ZMD can provide full heating system, complete with Microprocessor Controls and Computer Interface for installation or modification of existing old machines. Those heaters are excellent for other applications such as Pre Heating Plastics, Paint Drying Oven, Powder Coating Process, Ceramic Ovens and more.
All of our equipment, from small machines to big ones, are Fully Automatic with Totally Computerized Controls. All vacuum forming machines with dual platens are suitable for all Vacuum Techniques. All components in our equipment are of Top Quality.
ZMD made big engineering efforts to build the most sophisticated equipment but, yet user friendly that requires very little training to operate the equipment successfully. Most important, our equipment is reliable, and trouble free to work for you, the customer, for many years to come.
Unlike other manufacturers that offer a basic machine at an attractive price, but with an endless list of optional systems, at very high price, that are required for the machine to perform at its best, ZMD offers as standard almost everything possible to make the machine powerful and sophisticated. However, if the customer has a requirement to equip any of ZMD machines with unusual systems, to enhance machine performance above the standard in the industry, such as Thermocouples, Non Contact Photo Electric Camera, Aluminum Molds, Temperature Controller etc. ZMD does have the capability to provide excellent solutions at a very attractive price.
